Cornhill's F1 and F2 courses in London run one day per week. F1 can be taken on either a Monday or a Tuesday. F2 takes place on Wednesdays.
Mornings feature interactive lectures delving into biblical exposition (covering approximately 9 books) and major Christian doctrines (atonement, God’s sovereignty and free will), alongside an overview of the whole Bible in F1. The Teaching Practice sessions allow students to present Bible talks to a small group with a leader facilitating discussion, providing encouragement and constructive feedback mainly on Colossians in F1 and covering six genres in F2. The final lecture of the day covers ministry convictions, practical skills, church history, apologetics, and leadership characteristics. Optional weekly Greek classes are available at the end of the day in F2.
In addition, students are expected to dedicate at least half a day weekly to study.
We are pleased to offer the first and second years of Cornhill online (F1i and F2i) for those proficient in spoken English, who live outside the UK.
Every Cornhill student must be involved in a local church where they can be supervised and gain practical ministry experience, and must only apply with the support of their church leadership.
Students study F1i and F2i by watching recorded lectures from Cornhill in their own time each week. They also participate in live weekly Teaching Practice classes on Zoom, with a small group of other students from across the globe, on Monday and Tuesday afternoons (F1i), and Wednesday afternoons (F2i), during the Cornhill term time. They upload their talk scripts in English and then receive feedback on these Bible talks both live on Zoom and in written form. A self-disciplined and organised student, at Cornhill for one day a week, needs an additional half-day each week (or an additional full day each week where a student’s first language is not English) for study and preparation.

Cornhill Core is tailored for those pursuing long-term Christian ministry, building upon F1 and F2 (or equivalent courses run by Regional Gospel Partnerships). Flexible scheduling allows students to complete the course one day each week, with options to attend on Thursdays over two years or Fridays over two years, or over one year, attending two days each week (Thursdays and Fridays).
Advanced expository lectures cover around eleven Bible books, with extensive Teaching Practice involving feedback on six 20-minute talks. Expository Seminars delve deeply into four Bible books, enhancing analytical skills crucial for lifelong ministry. Elective modules offer specialised training in areas like Evangelistic Preaching, Women’s Ministry, Youth & Children’s Ministry, Bible Group Studies. Core students engage annually in evangelistic outreach with churches and Christian Unions. Those completing Core over two years should dedicate an additional half-day weekly for study, or a full day for one-year completion.
Half term holidays: Monday 28 October – Friday 1 November
Half term holidays: Monday 17 February – Friday 21 February
Half term holidays: Tuesday 27 May – Friday 30 May
We are planning that the Evangelical Ministry Assembly will take place from 24 – 26 June 2025. All students will be expected to attend, unless there are exceptional circumstances which prevent them from doing so. The fee for this conference is included in the course fees.
The course fee for F1 in 2024/25 will be £865 per term.
Please note that anyone who withdraws from their confirmed place at Cornhill after August 1st is asked to pay the first term’s fees.
Our open mornings are an opportunity to join current students for a morning lecture and then chat to staff over lunch (which we’ll provide). The morning begins at 9am with a short devotional talk from one of the teaching staff, followed by a lecture, and concludes with lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 during which staff will be available to chat about the course and answer your questions.
We are located a few minutes’ walk from Elephant & Castle station. There’s no charge for attending an open morning, but you do need to reserve a place.
